
GRANT PARISH - On July 3, 2025, SheriffƵs Detectives took a report of alleged criminal sexual conduct where the victim was a juvenile. Detectives began their investigation and quickly established the suspect as Jaylen Patterson, 22 of Alexandria.
From their investigation, which included interviews with the Rapides ChildrenƵs Advocacy Center, sufficient probable cause was established to obtain an arrest warrant for Patterson for two counts Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile and two counts Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.
On July 10, 2025, RPSO Detectives, with the assistance of the Grant Parish SheriffƵs Office, were able to locate Patterson at a residence on Hooper Road in Grant Parish where he was taken into custody without incident. GPSO transported Patterson to Grant Parish Detention Center where he was booked as a LA Fugitive for the outstanding warrants from Rapides Parish. On July 11, 2025, Patterson was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center where he was booked on the active warrants. Patterson was released the following day on a $20,000.00 bond.
