EASTON, Pa. - Easton Police said they are investigating a shooting that injured multiple people Saturday night.

"I heard like five or six rapid fire gunshots, maybe fireworks, but a little while after that, four or five minutes heard some sirens come up," said Frank Lea, a neighbor.

Lea said he could see police lights in the 100 block of East Wilkes-Barre Street in Easton.

It isòòò½ÊÓƵwhere police said five people were shot around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

"We saw the lights coming through the windows, so we went out, took a look and they already had the street blocked off," said Lea.

Police said all five people who were shot were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.

Investigators said the victims have been uncooperative.

"It's unfortunate, you know the neighborhood is fairly quiet most of the time, a few barking dogs and fireworks, but other than that not this, this isn't normal," said Lea.

It is an area Lea said he has called home for the last three years.

"It's not like we fear for our lives or this is an everyday occurrence. We haven't had any kind of this problem since we've been here," said Lea.

Police said the shooting appears to be targeted.

"I hope everybody is okay and hope it gets straightened out because you know, we don't need it in the neighborhood. We like it like it is today-- nice and quiet," said Lea.

There is no word on any arrests.

Easton Police are asking anyone with information on the shooting to call Detective Price, 610-250-6637 or the Tip Line, 610-250-6635.
