Henry Olivarez Perez
LAKE JACKSON òòò½ÊÓÆµ” Henry Olivarez Perez, 87, of Lake Jackson, Texas (formally of Victoria) went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2025. He was born on May 12, 1937 to the late Santiago and Manuela Olivarez Perez in Bloomington, Texas.
Henry married the love of his life, Emily Padron Perez, on June 8, 1963 in Port Lavaca, Texas. At the age of 20, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served three years. He then went to work as a Pipefitter for Alcoa and retired after 30 years. He was a man of faith which was instilled in him as a young boy by his mother. He was devoted to reciting the rosary daily. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church where he served as an usher for many years. He will always be remembered as the life of the party; never passing up the opportunity to celebrate with family and friends. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and we will greatly miss those special times. He loved dancing and traveling with his wife. He had a love for music, boxing, bowling and watching his favorite teams, the Houston Astros & Dallas Cowboys.
Henry is preceded in death by his father and mother; his sisters, Lorenza Sainz, Guadalupe (Lupita) Calzada, Angelita (Tita) Gutierrez; his brothers, Jimmy Perez, Manuel Perez and Gilbert Perez.
His memory will live on with his wife, Emily P Perez of 61 years; his daughter, Belinda Ann Perez of Austin, Texas; his sons, Henry Dwayne Perez (Audrey) and Robert Perez of Lake Jackson, Texas. He will continue to be loved by his two granddaughters, Jordyn Taylor (Rob) of Wylie, Texas and Sydney Hill (Jared) of Lake Jackson, Texas. His memory will never be forgotten by his six great grandchildren, Henry Luke, Parker, Ford & Bo Taylor and Harrison & Ellis Hill.
Visitation will be held at Grace Funeral Home in Victoria, Texas on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at Our Lady of Sorrows on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 12:15 p.m. with a Funeral Mass to begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery with a reception following at Trinity Hall.
Pallbearers will be Joe Perez, Rudy Sainz, Ramiro Mendoza, Rene Mendoza, Jeff Torres, Jeff Mitchum and Shane Martinez.
